The stainless steel seamless pipe industry is in a phase of steady expansion alongside structural upgrading. According to data from Gongyan Industry Research, global sales of stainless steel seamless pipe are projected to grow from USD 5.2 billion in 2026 to USD 7.3 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of approximately 5.9%. As the world's largest producer of stainless steel pipe, China's output reached approximately 4.5-5.8 million tons in 2025, accounting for more than half of global production, with exports totaling 822,600 tons, mainly flowing to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

In terms of demand drivers, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and chemical equipment are the three core downstream sectors. Deepwater oil and gas development is driving demand for high-grade alloy pipes such as duplex and super duplex stainless steel, while nuclear power restarts, concentrated solar power, and seawater desalination projects are opening up new incremental space. At the same time, demand for high-purity precision tubing from the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industries is also rising, with cold-drawn and cold-rolled bright pipes carrying significantly higher added value than ordinary industrial pipes.

In terms of competitive landscape, industry concentration continues to increase. International players such as Sandvik, Tubacex, and Nippon Steel compete alongside Chinese leaders including Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals, Wujin Stainless, and Tsingshan Steel Pipe. In Sinopec's 2026-2027 stainless seamless pipe framework agreement tender, Jiuli, Wujin Stainless, and Baofeng Special Materials were among the shortlisted suppliers. In terms of trade trends, China's stainless steel pipe imports continue to decline while exports grow steadily, reflecting strengthening domestic substitution capabilities.
